Novel silver-containing supramolecular frameworks constructed by combination of coordination bonds and supramolecular interactions

The hydrothermal reactions of AgNO(3), 4,4'-bipy, and carboxylate ligands gave rise to three supramolecular architectures, namely [Ag(bipy)].H(2)SIPA.1/2bipy.H(2)O (1), [Ag(bipy)].1/2H(2)btec.H(2)O (2), and [Ag(bipy)](2).H(2)dpstc.2H(2)O (3) (H(3)SIPA = 5-sulfoisophthalic acid, bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine, H(4)btec = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylic acid, H(4)dpstc = 3,3',4,4'-tetracarboxydiphenyl sulfone). All complexes are extended from Ag-bipy linear chains by the combination of coordination bonds and supramolecular interactions in two different approaches. Complexes 1 and 3 comprise two-dimensional frameworks. In the two complexes, a one-dimensional ladderlike structure is first formed by the connection of a Ag-bipy chain through hydrogen bonding between a free carboxylate/bipy ligand and weak coordinative interactions between a free carboxylate ligand and silver ion. The ladderlike structure is then extended to a two-dimensional layer architecture by pi...pi interactions between bipy ligands of the Ag-bipy chains. Complex 2 possesses a three-dimensional framework. The free H(2)btec(2)(-) ligands form a two-dimensional layer network by hydrogen-bonding interactions between protonated and deprotonated carboxylate groups; meanwhile, pi.pi interactions between bipy ligands of Ag-bipy chains also result in a two-dimensional layer. The two layers are further connected by weak Ag-O interactions to generate a three-dimensional supramolecular structure.

原位氧化还原沉淀水热合成法制备LixMn2O4尖晶石

Li xMn2O4尖晶石是新一代的锂离子二次电池正极材料 [1], 其合成方法对材料的电化学性质影响很大[2].常规合成大多采用高温固相反应法, 此法具有反应温度高, 反应时间长, 容易产生缺陷和产物不纯净等缺点, 导致所合成的锂离子二次电池正极材料的性能较差. 目前用水热合成法制备电池正极材料Li xMn2O4尖晶石尚未见文献报道. 本文在常规水热合成法的基础上采用原位氧化还原沉淀水热合成法 [3]制备前驱物, 该法合成条件更温和, 而且使材料的综合性能得到了改善和提高.      

Theoretical study of structure and stability of fullerene derivative: C50O

A total of eight possible isomers of C₅₀O, an oxide of fullerene C₅₀ (D_5h), have been investigated by B3LYP/3‐21G calculations. The isomer, which has an annulene‐like structure with oxygen bridging across a [5,6] type C? C bond at the site between the pole and the equatorial belt, is found being the ground state of C₅₀O. Four isomers are relatively more stable and the energy differences between them are not large. This result indicates that more than one C₅₀O isomer will coexist once C₅₀O is synthesized. The relative stabilities of the C₅₀O isomers may be determined mainly by the strain release and by the formation of the cyclic phenylene substructure at the equatorial belt of the cage. The calculated nucleus independent chemical shifts (NICS) of the C₅₀O isomers will be useful because from them one can expect outstanding NMR properties that can lead to their identification and characterization. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Synthesis and applications of photochromic fulgides in optical information storages

A pyrryl substituted photocbromic fulgide, (1-p-methoxyphenyl-2-methyl-5-phenyl)-3-pyrryl-ethylidene (isopropylidene) succinic anhydride, was synthesized. Its chemical structure was identified by IR, 1H NMR MS and elemental analysis. The title compound was used to prepare the optical disks by the spin coating method and the vacuum evaporation method. The results of the static state examination show that the optical disks prepared with this kind of molecules possess excellent thermal stability and fatigue resistance, i.e. over 450 writing-erasing recycles, the relative contrast between writing state and erasing state remains at 40%.     

Facile Total Synthesis of (±)‐Nimbiol

A facile total synthesis of (±)‐nimbiol 1 has been achieved. In order to decrease the dioxo byproduct 2a , an improved oxidation system of CrO₃/H₂O/HOAc/NaOAc was used.
